Tests carried out by Hyundai WRC Team after Catalunya Rally, in Southern Spain by Thierry Neuville, were devoted to testing the definitive aero package for the 2017 car, including a brand new rear wing.

First images show a rear wing very similar to that recently proposed by VW in the 2017 Polo, with open sides and two front arms, while lower plate has the same width as the rear windscreen.

Also, Dani Sordo had the chance to test the new aero package in the test carried out in Wales later that week.

At the same time, Toyota and Tommi Makinen started their first test on Asphalt in Catalonia roads, while showing the new car without the camouflage livery. Rear wing configuration has not changed since the first test on gravel in June, with the original side wings on both sides, located as a prolongation of the lower plate, and five fins on top of wing upper plate.
